OUR STORY

Creative Hearts Co. is an art gallery and creativity hub based in Brookwater, QLD. Co-founded by Greater Springfield residents Hue Kedge, Sean Ferguson, and Marie Ferguson, the space was created as a home for all the creative hearts within the community. The gallery supports both emerging and established artists, as well as creatives of all disciplines and skill levels, through programs that encourage creativity, confidence, and connection.

Creative Hearts Co. launched in December 2024 with a six-week pop-up gallery at Orion Springfield Central, funded through corporate sponsorship. The success of this initiative—along with the invaluable support of Springfield City Group, led to the opening of a permanent space—built for the community, by the community

Our mission is to celebrate and cultivate the vibrant tapestry of creative talent within our local community. We strive to inspire and nurture both established and emerging artists, fostering creativity in the next generation. By championing local talent and building a thriving environment where creativity is valued, supported, and encouraged, we aim to create a flourishing, connected community.

March 2024

Just three locals looking for a creative home

What started as a shared passion for creativity and a common desire for a creative space for the community, quickly evolved into an action plan. From the very first meeting, ideas were born, connections were made, and the foundation for Creative Hearts Co. was set. We began developing our first projects, securing corporate sponsorship from Springfield City Group, and laying the groundwork for exhibitions, workshops, and artist collaborations to inspire, empower, and elevate the arts.

Dec 2024 - Jan 2025

Creative Concept - Pop-Up Art Gallery Launch

Our vision came to life with the launch of our Pop-Up Art Gallery, featuring over 15 incredible local artists during the Christmas and New Year holiday break. From design and construction to a successful launch, we brought creativity to the community in an unforgettable way.

Highlights:

• 80+ attendees at our VIP launch celebration

• 135 ticket sales across 20 diverse workshops over 6 days, including drawing, pottery, dance, painting, wreath-making, storytelling, writing, and breath work circles

• Raised $1500+ in funds for Westside Community Care through art sales

This milestone event set the stage for a future where creativity, connection, and collaboration thrive in our community.

2025 & Beyond

A New Home In Brookwater

What started as a bold eight-year vision to create a permanent space for creativity in Greater Springfield became a reality in just six months. It's not quite as big a version as we had planned but it's a pretty incredible start.

Thanks to the overwhelming support from our community — and a whole lot of heart, hard work, and determination — we fast-tracked our dream and were handed the keys to our new home in Brookwater in March 2025. On 4th June 2025, we proudly launched Creative Hearts Co. Art Gallery & Creativity Hub, a dedicated space where creativity now lives, breathes, and grows.

Located in the former Brookwater Sales Centre at 7006 Melaleuca Drive, our new space is a vibrant hub for connection, expression, and innovation.

This is just the beginning. Our mission is to build a thriving creative ecosystem that uplifts artists, empowers individuals, and inspires community through the power of creativity. Watch this space!
